Tell us a little bit about your business and what you do?

I run Loren Taylor Events Creative, an event design and production company based in Auckland. Since 2005, I’ve specialised in creating high-end, bespoke experiences for corporate clients, charities, and private celebrations. From large-scale projects like the Netball World Championships’ opening and closing ceremonies to intimate black-tie dinners, I love bringing bold creative ideas to life and crafting events that leave a lasting impression.

What’s something that’s gone well for you recently?

This year I had the privilege of producing the 2025 Hi-Tech Awards in Wellington, celebrating the event’s 30th anniversary. It was an incredible milestone to bring to life — from designing an immersive 360-degree projection experience to showcasing some of New Zealand’s top international artists on stage. The combination of technology, creativity, and talent made for an unforgettable night that truly honoured the best of our Hi-Tech industry. I’m especially excited that next year we’ll be taking the awards back to Spark Arena in 2026, where we’ll continue to push boundaries in large-scale event production.

What’s one lesson you’d share with other business owners?

One thing I’ve learned is that creativity thrives when you collaborate with the right people. Surrounding yourself with trusted suppliers, talented creatives, and supportive advisors not only makes the process smoother but also lifts the end result to a whole new level.
