Tell us a little bit about your business and what you do?

We run Made in Canvas, a manufacturing business based in Henderson, Auckland. We manufacture a wide range of products, including bags, covers, shade sails and fabric walls. We cater to the commercial and residential markets, and welcome the challenge of custom designs. We have access to an extensive range of fabric types, and hardware.

What’s something that’s gone well for you recently?

We have just produced a prototype for a commercial customer successfully, using a difficult material they are very keen to recycle into products for sale.

What’s one lesson you’d share with other business owners?

Make sure you have a strong support network around you. This support is crucial during times of stress.

How has working with McLaren Guise helped you?

We have no stress when financial year accounts roll around! They do everything behind the scenes, and we just supply a very small amount of the information required.
